G.I. stitching wire

G.I. stitching wire is mild steel wire coated with zinc and rolled flat. It is the stitching wire most used by corrugated box makers in India, and the best value choice for cartons that are kept dry and opened within a few weeks.

Rust resistant stitching wire

Rust resistant stitching wire, known in the trade as R.P. wire, has the same steel core as G.I. wire but a much heavier zinc coating. It resists rust for longer, which suits the monsoon season, storage without humidity control and cartons that are stored for months before they ship.

04 · Solid stainless steel

Stainless steel stitching wire

Solid stainless steel stitching wire with no coating to wear off. It comes in two types: magnetic (ferritic), which metal detectors can find, and nonmagnetic (austenitic), used where magnetism is a problem.

05 · Copper finish

Copper coated stitching wire

Mild steel wire with a copper coating. On a finished carton or a book spine it looks like solid copper at a much lower cost, and the smooth coating feeds easily through the machine.

06 · Cannot rust

Pure brass stitching wire

Pure brass stitching wire is made from a solid copper and zinc alloy, with no steel at all. There is no coating to wear off and nothing underneath to rust.

Pure copper stitching wire

Pure copper stitching wire is made from solid electrolytic copper. Like brass, it cannot rust because it contains no iron. Over time it darkens to a natural patina, which stays on the surface and does not stain the carton. It costs about the same as brass.

Bindery

Book stitching wire

Round wire used by the printing and notebook industry to bind books, leaflets, catalogues and cheque books, and for spiral and Wire O binding. Supplied on spools or in coils, as you need.

It has a bright finish and even tensile strength, and runs on manual, semi automatic and fully automatic book stitching machines such as LineOmatic, Bielomatik, Muller Martini, ECH Will and JoyDzign.

Exercise books Notebooks Textbooks Duplicate and triplicate books Magazines Catalogues Cheque books

Narrow flat stitching wire

We also make narrow flat wire for book stitching. Many book binders and printers abroad use flat wire because it grips a wider area of the spine, is less likely to cut through thin covers, and gives a binding that lasts longer. Your stitching head must be suitable for flat wire, so please check before ordering.
